Disneyland Paris Rides and Passes

There are lots of Disneyland Paris rides. Disneyland Paris is set up into different lands. We will go through each land and rank the best rides, and let you know which ones you need to go to first.

Want to Skip the Line?

The second option is to pay 5-18 euros to skip an individual line of a ride you really want to go on.

I have been in the summer and the fall, and really didn’t feel like we needed the pass. I imagine on busy days and holidays, these passes are lifesavers!

I am going to rank the best rides at Disneyland Paris and then give you a breakdown of where the rides are located. This post contains only the rides at Disneyland Paris and not the rides at Walt Disney Studios.

Let’s get started on the best rides at Disneyland Paris!

1. Big Thunder Mountain

Height Requirement: 40 inches

Ride Time: 4 minutes

Location: Frontierland

The Line

The ride is popular, so even on low-crowd days, there are 30-50 minute waits. On busier days, there can be up to 100-minute waits. The best thing to do is ride this right when the park opens for lower wait times.

The Ride

The reason this ride is voted #1 is that it is the best Big Thunder Mountain attraction at any Disney Park. The track is longer, the ride is faster, the scenery is different, and even includes underwater tunnels.

This is a classic ride with a new twist. I love that it is unique to Paris!

2. Peter Pan’s Flight

Height Requirement: None

Ride Time: 3 minutes

Location: Fantasyland

The Line

This ride is one of the most popular at Disneyland Paris. If you have young kids that are too small for Big Thunder Mountain, this is where you will want to go first.

The Ride

The Peter Pan ride is the traditional ride at most Disney parks. It is a dark ride that takes you on the adventure from London to Neverland. It is a fun ride that everyone will love. D

3. Autopia

Height Requirement: 32 inches to ride 52 inches to drive

Ride Time: 5 minutes

Location: Discoveryland

The Line

The line is super low in the morning! Be sure to ride this early. As the day goes on, this line can get really long.

The Ride

The ride is a drive-your-own-car attraction. It is along a track but you get to do the steering. This is a fun family ride everyone will love.

4. Phantom Manor

Height Requirement: None

Ride Time: 6 minutes

Location: Frontierland

The Line

The line is low in the morning but don’t worry if you can’t make it right when the park opens, you can also wait until right before the park closes and not have to wait too long. If you go in the middle of the day, you will experience a wait.

The Ride

The ride is similar to the Haunted Mansion but is more spooky. Haunted Mansion has some comic relief. The Phantom Manor follows a tragic back story and is a bit darker. It is only at Disneyland Paris! I love that, and that is why it makes the list!

This dark ride is on a track. You can sit back and relax and enjoy the spooky story from your gloom buggy.

5. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain

Height Requirement: 48 inches

Ride Time: 2 minutes 15 seconds

Location: Discoveryland

The Line

The best time to ride is early in the morning or late at night. During the afternoon the lines get long. It can be up to an hour wait.

The Ride

Space Mountain is a little different at each Disney Park. Disneyland Paris is one of my favorite Space Mountains. It is a dark coaster that launches fast! I love that! The ride has inversions and twists! It is so fun! If you love coasters this one needs to be on your list!

6. Indiana Jones Temple of Peril

Height Requirement: 55 inches

Ride Time: 1 minute 15 seconds

Location: Adventureland

The Line

Luckily, this line wait doesn’t get too busy. If you go early in the morning or late afternoon you will not wait long at all. There is a single rider line which helps if you want to go in the afternoon! Typically 15 minute wait is normal for this ride.

The Ride

This is a thrill ride. It is an outside coaster with a light theme of Indian Jones. There is a base camp and a jungle temple. There is a fun coaster with a loop! This ride is only at Disneyland Paris!

7. Pirates of the Caribbean

Height Requirement: None

Ride Time: 9-10 Minutes

Location: Adventureland

The Line

The wait time for Pirates is typically low. At peak times 30 minutes is about all you will have to wait.

The Ride

Pirates is a classic Disneyland ride. At Disneyland Paris there are two drops. The story is the same as other rides just in different orders. It is a fun classic that you have to ride at Disneyland Paris!

8. Star Tours

Height Requirement: 40 inches

Ride Time: 4-5 minutes

Location: Discoveryland

The Line

The line moves pretty fast. There are 6 simulators running at the same time. This makes the wait time low most of the day.

The Ride

Star Tours is my favorite ride! I love it! In Paris it is in both English and French. That kind of throws me a little, but I still love the ride!

To help you navigate the park, I am going to list each area in the park and the rides in each area. I will highlight my favorite.

Not all of the rides made my top 8, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try them out. Let’s start with Fantasyland.

Rides in Fantasyland Disneyland Paris

The rides in Fantasyland are designed for kids! There are lots of classic rides that are also in other Disney Parks. This is the best area to go if you have little kids. The rides in this area are fun and great for little ones.

Disneyland Paris Rides in Fantasyland

  • Blanche‑Neige et les Sept Nains (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs dark ride)
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • Les Voyages de Pinocchio
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • It’s a Small World
  • Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups
  • Le Carrousel de Lancelot
  • Alice’s Curious Labyrinth (Walk Though)
  • Casey Jr. – le Petit Train du Cirque
  • Le Pays des Contes de Fées (The Fairytale Land / Storybook boat ride)
  • Sleeping Beauty Castle (Walk Through)

Honestly, Fantasyland is fun for younger kids and if you wanted to spend most of your time here, your kids will love it. Go on Peter Pan right when you get to the park.

If you have older kids head to Frontierland first then back to Fantasyland before 11:00 am to ride Peter Pans Flight.

Discoveryland Rides at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris Rides at Discoveryland are so fun! This is where you will find Star Wars, Autopia and Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast.

  • Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain
  • Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
  • Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
  • Autopia
  • Orbitron (Machines Volantes)
  • Les Mystères du Nautilus (Walk Through)
  • Mickey’s PhilharMagic (Show)

I love Star Wars so this might be where I would go first. I would ride all three top rides in the area and then head to Frontierland.

Frontierland Rides at Disneyland Paris

Frontierland is where you will find my favorite ride at Disneyland Paris – Big Thunder Mountain. If you love Coasters head here first!

  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Phantom Manor
  • Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing

Ride both Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor and then head to either Fantasyland, Adventureland, or Discoveryland depending on what you want to ride.

Adventureland Rides at Disneyland Paris

  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Adventure Isle

Adventureland is pretty close to Frontierland so you can hit these to lands first and then head over to Fantasyland or Discoveryland.
