One of the BEST Disneyland tips for saving time in the parks is learning how to use mobile ordering. Seriously, once you figure it out, you may never want to stand in a food line again. During our Disneyland trips, mobile ordering has saved us so much time — especially when trying to grab popular snacks and quick-service meals during busy park hours.
In this tutorial, we are going to walk you step-by-step through exactly how to use Disneyland mobile ordering using a Disneyland funnel cake as an example. We will show you where to find mobile ordering in the Disneyland app, how to place your order, when to select your pickup window, and what to do once you arrive at the restaurant.
If using the Disneyland app feels overwhelming at first, don’t worry! Mobile ordering is actually super easy once you know where to click. Let’s walk through everything you need to know so you can spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying Disneyland!
1. Download the Disneyland App
You will want to download the Disneyland app before you get to the park. This app is great. Your tickets will be stored on the app, as well as wait times for rides, lightenin lane, and the ability to use mobile ordering.
Store Credit Card Informtaion
Once you download the app (before you go to the parks) make sure to store your credit card information in the app. This will make purchasing your food through the app super easy when you are in the park.
2. Click on Mobile Food Orders and Create New Food Order
Once you download the app and open it, you will see a list of options. Click on Mobile Food Ordering. The next screen will prompt you to create a new order.
Create a New Order
Knowing that you want a Disneyland funnel cake you can proceed to Stage Door Cafe or Hungry Bear Restaurant. You will want to choose the location that is closest to you.
3. Pick a Restaurant – Which Disneyland Restaurants are Included in Disney Mobile Ordering
Now, you already know Stage Door Cafe and Hungry Bear Restaurant are included because that is where you would like to order your Disneyland funnel cake. We will be using these two restaurants to teach you how to use Disney mobile ordering.

4. Choose A Time to Pick Up your Disney Mobile Order
Once you choose your restaurant of choice, you will need to choose the time window you would like your food to be prepared.

As you can see in the image the Stage Door Cafe has a range of available time slots. This will allow you to plan. If you want to ride Indiana Jones and then head over to Stage Door Cafe and get your Disneyland funnel cake, you can estimate your arrival window.
5. View Menu on Disney Mobile Ordering App
Since you already know that you want a Disneyland funnel cake you do not have to click the view menu button. However, if you wanted to order something in addition to your Disneyland funnel cake, you can click the view menu button to see all of your options.
Important Tip
You cannot order from the “view menu” button. You will have to exit and click on the Order Food Button.
6. Order Disneyland Funnel Cake
- As you click the “order food” button you will have a few options:
- Breakfast
- Lunch and Dinner
- Desserts
- Drinks
- Season Offerings
Order Your Disneyland Funnel Cake
You can click around until you find what you would like to order. Simply click Disneyland funnel cake and add it to your cart. If you set up your credit card information you can purchase the food with one click of a button.
If you did not set up credit card information before you entered the park, no big deal. You will have to set it up before you can order. It really isn’t that bad of a process. Once you set it up it makes eating at Disneyland so much easier!
7. Pick Up Your Disneyland Funnel Cake
The last step is super simple. When it is time to pick up your food, you will open the app and click a button that says “I’m Here”.
The restaurant will start preparing your food and it will be ready within minutes! Disney mobile ordering is amazing! The days of standing in line are gone!
Are There Funnel Cakes at California Adventure?
Sometimes, If you are looking for funnel cakes at California Adventure you might be disappointed. Award Wieners sometimes has funnel cake fries but they are not part of the viewable menu.
I would plan on getting your Disneyland funnel cake craving filled when you visit Disneyland.
